Thanks for pointing it out. We will continue to track cosmetic errors like this and fix them.
For the more cartoonish look: as a niche product we have to find some middle ground between hardcore features and more casual looks. If only hardcore baseball-textsim gamers buy the game we will not see any further versions.
So the look is a small price we have to pay to lure in casual user and make them addicted to this wonderful type of games.
