As a Dodger fan for 50 years, it kills me to watch this team. I cant begin to summon the faith that LA can pull off the acquisition of a singular talent like Lowell, particularly in light of their sad recent history with player evaluation ( the aforementioned Ward, and Chubby Coomer, and Andy Ashby, et al ). The Cubs would seem a better fit for Lowell, particularly if he wants to continue enjoying the recognition as a serious power hitter. Heaven knows that Dodger Stadium is less hitter-friendly than Wrigley. Im depressed, altho we do have Nomo going tonight, so there is hope we can avoid the sweep.
