1918 Regular Season Game 25

Hooper Comes through in the "Clutch"

Harry Hooper’s Clutch Hit and Run Double with Lee Magee on 1stended the scoreless game in the bottom of the 9th to a jubilated RedSox Stadium.
Hooper has been the epitome of dependability in an unpredictable season for Boston. Carl Mays went 8, 2 hit innings for the no decision as Walt Kinney came out of Lf after George Whiteman pinch hit for Mays to pitch the final inning and get the win.
