Game 1
Philadelphia Patriots-Luis Acosta (1-2 7.08)
@
Chicago Iron Pigs-Ken Lee (0-1 7.15)
Eric Coates kicks things off by drilling a solo shot in the bottom of the 1st.
David Fleming's 2 run shot in the 2nd, and Todd Heltons 2B, put Philly up 3-1. Paul Riggs makes it 3-2 with a solo homer in the bottom half.
Hugh Collins RBI double in the 3rd ties it up, where it stays into the 6th.
Ted Long drills a solo homer in the top half, before George Knox's 3 run homer in the bottom caps a 4 run 6th, putting us up 7-4.
Brady Hardin hits a solo shot off Andy Morgan in the 7th to make it 7-5.
Ellison and Holt can't get out of the 8th, needing Cruz to come in and slam the door, but not before a run scores to cut the lead to 7-6.
Then, with 1 out in the 9th, up 7-6, Todd Helton slams a 1 out 2 strike 3 run homer to deep right, giving the Patriots a 9-7 lead, and after Gibbons allows both batters to reach leading off the 9th, we cannot muster anything, and fall in game 1.
