Spring Training Depth Charts
Had a thought last night:
For spring training, instead of the traditional depth chart...chart...a system should be implemented for subbing out players after X amount of at bats or innings pitched. Unless done manually I never see fringe players getting enough at bats / innings to evaluate them in spring training and there isn't really enough room in the depth charts to properly assign them playing time.
It would be nice to implement this right into the seven day lineups, therefore it only has to be done four times and each week you can give the probable major league lineup more playing time.
Obviously too late for 14 but something that sounds easy enough to add.
Thoughts?
Also, how does everyone else handle spring training playing time? Maybe I'm doing it wrong.
