I'm noticing (in the NHL, WHL & I'm guessing most leagues) that forwards are doing a lot more hitting (or at least being recorded as doing a lot more hitting), to the point where after 40 games, the league leaders show 29 out of the top 30 hitters are forwards (though largely those you'd expect - Brown, Backes, Clutterbuck, Landeskog...)
