Flyweight First Round
Kyo Noguchi 11-7-2 (4) vs Rae-Ki Ahn 9-10-1 (2)
Noguchi's lead left hands drew swelling from Ahn's right eye in what was otherwise a contest of jabs that Kyo took the UD in. 98-93 x2 & 98-94
Dave Guttman 16-4 (7) vs Frankie Mason 10-9-1 (3)
Guttman was quicker and stronger in this battle of Americans. He hurt Frankie with a right hand in the seventh and swelled up his left eye with rights and uppercuts down the stretch en route to the UD. 99-92, 99-94 & 98-94
Luis Maldonado 7-9-4 (1) vs Paul Gonzales 21-14-5 (3)
Gonzales boxed brilliantly early on with stiff jabs and right hands. Luis struggled to get off against the swift movement of the American but in round six he nearly floored Paul with an overhand right and he hammered him for the remainder of the round. That momentum carried Luis to land several clean rights down the stretch, but he fell just short on the cards and Gonzales took the narrow UD. 97-94 & 96-95 x2
Eyup Can 11-6-3 (1) vs Emile Pladner 11-8-1 (2)
Pladner used a third round knock down to springboard a series of rounds in his favor that overcame a quick start and strong close from Can and Emile took the MD. 97-94, 96-93 & 95-95
Eric Morel 41-16-3 (21) vs Jong-Kwan Chung 13-22-5 (3)
Rematch: Morel TKO8
Morel was in command the majority of the fight with clean one-twos that busted open his right eye in round five. Chung closed with some solid body work when Morel seemed to lose interest but it was too little too late and Eric won the UD. 97-93 x3
Danny Kid 18-16-6 (2) vs Carlos Murillo 45-14-3 (23)
This was a fast paced bout that saw them both score frequently on the inside, but Carlos landed the harder blows and took the UD. 97-94 & 96-94 x2
