I just expect players to play their type of game. I don't want Mike Bossy to lead the league in PIM's but I do expect him to score goals. I am not going to sweat it if in 1979, a season where he scored 51 goals he only scores 42. I'm more interested in an accurate protrayal of how a player contributed during his career. IMO the whole point is to recreate history not to make it a carbon copy.

If as part of game play by play a scoring change was made it would be a nice idea for a touch of realism as that does happen, but I dont know that it's necessary.
Very well said. This is how I view these games as well. My biggest issue with sports sims are the sometimes unrealistic results (i.e., in EHM the offensive numbers are absurd, even for pre-2004 lockout statistics). I want an accurate portrayal of how my players are doing, not inflated or unrealistic numbers "just because"....
