This may have already been tossed out but I really would love to see the following storylines.
1) Player X shows up to spring training in impeccable shape (ratings jump) or out of shape (ratings decrease).
2) Player X is being a malcontent (ala Manny Ramirez) and refuses to give any effort (temporary ratings decrease) until he is traded.
3) The Roger Dorn -- a once sterling ballplayer signs a big deal and then regresses out of fear of injury. Fielding ability suffers (no more diving), no longer willing to take HBP etc...
4) The Madoff -- a rich team owner is swindled by a ponzi scheme and must totally blow up the team before selling it off.
