I believe that the above photo, from the 1914 Yale team photo, actually shows Harold Pumpelly, the brother of the one-inning Major Leaguer. According to Spencer's SABR Bio, although Spencer attended Yale starting in 1913 he was ineligible to play varsity baseball until spring of 1915. Older brother Harold, however, was a star football and baseball player and is listed as an outfielder on the 1914 team.
