Jr Flyweight Third Round

Nelson Dieppa 19-2 (8) vs Matthew Bell 40-4-1 (24)

Bell started quickly with fierce combinations and he dropped Dieppa with a hard right hand with a minute left in the opening round, Nelson got up at nine and survived a series of punishing shots over the remainder of the round. Dieppa took a few rights in the second before he connected with a hook that put Zeke down for a five count, the Puerto Rican scored with several clean right hands before the bell. They settled into a back and forth contest with both men having their moments and the judges decided that they had to run it back, 115-111 Bell & 113-113 x2

Roberto Vasquez 35-4-2 (24) vs Masibulele Makepula 42-17-3 (31)

This bout was competitive, but the Panamanian had control from the opening bell until the ninth round when Vasquez floored him three times for the automatic stoppage.

Humberto Gonzalez 19-2 (16) vs Sarikalek Eakarin 36-7-1 (27)

They traded throughout the bout, but Gonzalez was always a step ahead. They seemed headed for a decision before Humberto floored him early in the twelfth with an uppercut and unloaded with both hands until a short hook put Eakarin down and out with fourteen seconds left in the fight.

Vuyani Nene 28-11-2 (19) vs Jake Matlala 32-7-3 (16)

Nene floored Jake twice in the opening round with right hands and he maintained command until the last few rounds when Matlala mounted a futile rally that resulted in the UD for Vuyani. 117-109 x3

Rematch:

Nelson Dieppa 19-2-1 (8) vs Matthew Bell 40-4-2 (24)

Bell dominated the rematch with concise combinations and he floored Dieppa three times en route to a UD. 117-108 x2 & 116-110
