I'd love to see this just randomly appear in a game...

"Player union demands free agency eligibility reduced to 6 years instead of 7. Owners have choice to give in and cost them more money or refuse and risk a work stoppage."

Then days later...

"Owners refuse to budge, free agency remains at 7 years."

Then a few days later

"Players go on strike."

Then about four months later, after you sim 4 months since nothing can happen in the game, you see this.

"Player and owners comprise, FA eligibility remains at 7 years but rosters now expand to 26 players. League will resume as of today but will play a condensed 120 game season."
