When we went from this template style...

...for good reason. The light shining through the old style looked horrible. But it required a lot of updating from the old style.

I'm sure it's possible to find a player or so who wears their neckline lower but most look like Verlander below.

The right shoulder to sleeve makes a pretty seemless transition from one to the other. But with the transition of the left there is a drop from the shoulder to the sleeve, as seen below.
