Frogs Hudson Named Best TU Rookie
2034 was a heck of a season for Michael Hudson of the Fairfax Frogs. He batted .323 in 149 games and was named the Tycobbian Union Rookie of the Year. The 21-year-old center fielder totaled 33 doubles, 7 triples and 18 homers in his first season in the IPA, along with 107 RBIs, 85 runs and 29 stolen bases. Fairfax came in fourth in the TU North.
Second in the vote was the leading hitter in the Tycobbian Union, Kenny Kuebler of the Denton City Redbirds. The 22-year-old first sacker collected 160 base hits, batted .335 and has 21 homers, 86 RBIs and 94 runs for the sixth-place Redbirds.
Junior Bristow, the son of a legendary Hall of Fame pitcher, Titus Bristow, garnered third place in the best rookie voting with a 21-13 record and a strong 2.80 ERA for the TU East title-winning Tuckanarra Blue Jays.
