(Note: this is from McFarlane's 1964 cup of coffee, not his 1962 debut. The Pirates didn't put numbers on the front of the uniforms until 1963.)
(P.S. If you're one of the other two people who ever read Shelby Whitfield's
Kiss It Goodbye, you know why the subject of McFarlane gives me the giggles. But that's OT for here, I suppose.)
