The way I see it, this breakdown works the best:
20 games vs. each of 3 other teams in division (9-11H/9-11A)
5 games vs. each of 8 other teams in subleague (2-3H/2-3A)
no interleague games
That might be too unbalanced, though, and there are too many 2-game series.
