Straw Second Round

Raul Garcia 16-3-1 (8) vs Zukisani Kwayiba 17-4 (5)

Kwayiba wasted no time and he staggered Garcia inside of a minute with a fierce combination, as raul backed to the ropes Kwayiba stormed in and connected with a brutal uppercut that crumbled Raul in the corner where he remained for the ten count and a stunning result.

Isaac Bustos 16-3-1 (4) vs Wolf Tokimitsu 12-9 (7)

Bustos struggled with Tokimitsu's awkward aggression early on and the Japanese fighter staggered him in round four with a wild hook. Isaac got his bearings and started to out-box his rival in the middle rounds before hammering him with sharp combinations in round nine to put the punctuation mark on his UD win. 97-94 & 97-95 x2

Edmund Villamor 13-7 (7) vs Khulile Makeba 9-10-2 (3)

Makeba had a huge opening round, repeatedly scoring with hard right hands. That came to a screeching halt in round two when Villamor dropped him with a hook to the body. He barely beat the count and survived the round. It took Khulile two rounds to recover and after he did things were nip and tuck as they traded inside in an entertaining scrap, the early KD enabled Villamor to advance with the MD. 96-93, 95-94 & 95-95

Juan Landaeta 19-1 (11) vs Shinichi Tamaki 11-7-3 (5)

Tamaki took the fight to landaeta with a frenzy in the first two rounds, firing off one combo after another to the head and body. Juan scored with several right hands in the third and he staggered Tamaki with another one in the fourth, an elongated barrage of shots had Shinichi floundering along the ropes when the ref called a halt.
