• Chris Brown had an inside-the-park home run in the game.
• Charlotte 2B Wayne Baker was 5-5 for the second time in a week. He was Player of the Week in the Patriot League last week and remains hotter than a depot stove.
• Milwaukee (51-63) fired manager Jim McClellan (228-210). McClellan led the Eagles to 96 wins last year and had been with the team since 1995 as a coach and manager.
