Rule 5 Draft
I’m thinking of taking a 24 year old SP named Esteban Flores from the Avalanche. An 11/8/9 with 13/9/19 potential. If it doesn’t work out so what, I have roster room and I always felt this was what this draft was for….

I end up taking him and the very next day Luis Clemente, GM of the Drillers, pings me with a trade offer. He’s offering 27 year old Ony Kamyshinsky and 898K for 2B Alejandro Sotolo and the Flores kid I just picked up. Sotolo is limited really, to 2B, Ony plays an outstanding 1B and 3B and Flores isn’t likely to stick. The money will mostly offset his 1.3M salary, and he has options remaining. I pull the trigger and do the deal…
