At the plate

The Chicago offense is my pride and joy. Hugh Collins, imo, is the best all around offensive player in the game. Average? Check, Power? Check, Speed? Check. At 25 he's poised to make a legit HoF run. Bill Alexander is having another Alexander year, which is to say awesome. On another 40+ HR 150+ RBI pace. Ernesto Gutierrez is showing why so many teams tried to get him, and thank goodness i thought about it, but never pulled the trigger. Leading the league in hitting. Hate leading Collins off because I feel it's a huge bat missing RBI opportunities but he's doing that now while Gutierrez heals on the DL. Ron Miller could, and is, play every day as a RH bat, he MURDERS lefties. Lorenzelli is a sleeper, just below .300 but crushing, at the top of the league in doubles, and triples, a huge threat having him down in the lower half of the order. Eric Hudson, for his defense, is fine. Not having a better Hudson type season, but if he hits 275 with 10 HR I'm ecstatic as he eliminates running games. Chartier, it can be forgotten, is just 21 years old and in his 4th IBL season. On pace for 30/30 after going 27/37 last year. Bringing gold glove caliber defense to 2nd, SS and 3B makes him insanely valuable. With Riggs being 22 it means my DP combo is 20 and 22 respectively, and Lorenzelli is 23 with Morgan the 'old guy' in the IF at 26. Lost in the shuffle as well is Raul Feliz, now just 20 years old and in his 2nd full IBL season. Lopez figures to take over the utility role given that he switch hits and Ferrer is in his mid 30s.
