Being the GM of the Pirates with a penny pinching owner really takes away the ability to become attached to the players I draft. This is especially true for stud pitchers at the end of their arbiration eligible years.
I find that I am constantly turning over my roster for younger prospects/suspects because I won't be able to afford these superstars. Having a scout that has outstanding or legendary minor league scouting ability is essential for my ability to evaluate talent.
