If you have talent change randomness and your scouting isn't 100% accurate, then it sounds like these are just the pains of the game (in real life and in OOTP). I've flushed many a million down the tube on signing bonuses as potential Hall of Famers turn into minor league journeymen.

If you find the changes are just too random -- I personally did -- change your talent randomness. I moved mine down to 80, and I find that even that small change has made a difference. I still have nobodies at 18 who are winning MVPs at 25 and I have potential Hall of Famers who are working at Lowe's by the time they're 25, but am still happy with how predicted future superstars still get to the big leagues a bit more often than the one-star potential prospects.
