The Bisons had a big week as Mr Withrow spent most of his remaining budget on 3 players relief pitcher john ferguson, sp ray buck, and OF howard murphy.
Fans seemed moderately happy with the Ray Buck signing but there are ? surrounding the amount spent on the other players. Harold reynolds questioned the howard murphy signing stating that it was an example of wasting resources on a player who will probably produce at a level equal to what any triple AAA OF would. Mr. Withrow had little too say simply stating that he was excited with these signings and looked forward to the season as he felt they would be key contributors.
Just a day later there was more news out of Buffalo as the team announced that they had come to terms with their star LF/1B gerardo Jaimes on a five yr extension valued at 34.9 million over 5 yrs. The 26 yr old Jaimes spoke to the media stating he was excited to be staying in Buffalo for now and how he felt things were looking exciting for the Bisons
