Rookie Carlos De La Torre (0-1) struggled again, and the hurt himself (diagnosis pending). He went 3-3-4-4-3-4. Bill Flowers came in in the 5th and threw 4.2 outstanding innings (maybe my rotation rejects are finding a home as mop ups?). The offense sputtered, managing a run on 6 hits. Hugh Collins stole his 24th base (26HR 24SB his rookie year, I’ll take it! Unfortunately I think Rios has a lock on Rookie of the year). Riverhound starter Carlos Villanueva (11-11 5.12) went 7-5-1-1-1-3 for the win.
