No worries, brother. Enjoy the ride. It is really a great game. Take your time with it.

As far as how many players per position...I like to carry 5 outfielders, 6 infielders, 2 catchers, 5 starting pitchers and 7 relievers on all of my teams (I use DH). If I have a team with a strong starting pitching staff I'll carry one less reliever and one more infielder that has good L/R splits for where my starters are weak.

I'm sure other people will soon post what they like their roster make-up to be.


Also, if you are "rebuilding" stay away from free-agents...too expensive. Build through the draft and the waiver wire.

If you are only one or two pieces away from the playoffs go ahead and spend the money on a proven veteran to get you over the top.
