I have been playing OOTP for many years. One of the things I really like about OOTP is that I have never been able to predict or guarantee player development. As in real life, it seems to be a gamble no matter what.

I think this is one area where there are many opinions and theories. But it is very difficult to measure and analyze player development. It would take a lot of effort to really figure out what is going on behind the scenes. This is great in my opinion, because we aren't able to look behind the scenes in real life either.
