tell that to some of the russians. If they can't be a top 6 player in the NHL they'd rather play in their home country for far more money and playing time. And who could blame them really.
Canada and USA have different taxes too. Canadians pay more tax. But there's no doubt about it it that in Russia 5 million is 5 million when 5 mil in the NHL is probably closer to half. (Taxes and player equity fund)
I really like the idea. It is also somewhat complex and might be too much to take on for a first version.
