While what you say is true it brings up another point.
If there was an option to have umpires with ratings you could tie the intentional hitting of a batter to situations where the pitcher and/manager is affected. This would cause ejections which could impact games/leagues.
If you look at that thread you could see how it could be done. I think it would be very cool to see a real life situation played out in the game.
This is where I think Markus sometimes misses the boat a bit. Putting some things in, even if they are only options, gives the player more to look forward to in setting up his league. This is a good example.
