At the start of the 2012 season, we have some promising prospects in Gerrit Cole, Starling Marte, Josh Bell, and Jameson Taillon. Andrew McCutchen looks prime for a breakout year. But, much work has to be done. BNN has us finishing 78-84 in 5th place in the NL Central, 17 games back of the Brewers and the Reds. Robert Nutting, our owner, has given us an expectation of playing .500 ball.
