Have you tried TBCB with Windows 8 yet? I'd be interested in hearing about what you've expereinced.

There was a post last week in which another forum member indicated that he was having problems running it through Win 8. Then again, he was running a pre-release version.

Whenever a new o/s comes along, there are always casualties with respect to PC games. With XP , you lost all the Lance Haffner games (unless you played around with a DOSbox). APBA's BBW couldn't be played in Windows 7 (until recently) without tweaking or using the XP virtual.

This was the entire thrust of my initial post.

TBCB 2.5 was released nearly five years ago, when Vista was the new o/s. Since that time MS will have released two subsequent o/s with Windows 8. So since 2007, there's been three o/s produced.

At this rate, an o/s seems to be around about two years before a new one comes along. Will OOTP keep up the pace? That's my biggest concern.

By the way, I was under the impression that Windows 8 wasn't going to be released for another five weeks. What version of Win 8 are you using?
