In random debut games I've played with recalc off, what seems to happen often is that RL star players already have a player in front of them and they end up getting minimal playing time. I definitely think that is the big problem. There are so many players in the database, and a lack of playing time. Between the Negro League players, Japanese players, and others it's a lot easier to get blocked, or replaced if you aren't performing. I think that I should have either added more teams, not used this database, or turned on random debut so the amount of players that imported were less. I've gone so far at this point it's almost better to play it out and see what happens.
