• Traded LF Justin Ruggiano to Marlins for minor league C/1B Jobduan Morales (actual trade – forced).

Significant MLB Transactions:
• Reds 1B Joey Votto is out for the season with a broken bone in his elbow.
• Phillies SP Cole Hamels has a torn flexor tendon in his elbow and will miss 10 months. He is eligible for free agency at the end of the season.
• Mets SP R.A. Dickey is out for the year with a torn UCL.
• Angels obtained LF Carl Crawford from Red Sox for MR Scott Downs and minor league SP Brandon McNelis.
• Phillies SP Cole Hamels signed a 4-year extension for $16M/yr rather than test free agency after his missed season.
• Angels SP Dan Haren joins Jered Weaver on the 60-day D/L. Haren is out for the year with a torn labrum.
