1947 - Brown/Kozuru tie for lead

Willard Brown finished with his ninth straight season of 20 or more home runs when he hit 29 to tie for the league lead. Brown has now passed 300 home runs (303) and at 32 should have a very good shot at 400.

24 year old Makoto Kozuru also hit 29 home runs this year to tie Brown. He's the first Nippon Pro Baseball player to appear, and he was the first player in *** history to hit 50 home runs in a season. He's a member of the Japanese Baseball Hall of Fame and the *** players will add another dynamic to the league. In a way I regret my decision to use the database I did, but in a way I'm ok with that.
