Subject: Louisville Colonels Replace Scouting Director
The Louisville Colonels have dismissed their Scouting Director, Fernando Candelaria. He had been with the team since 2001. No reason was given for the change in direction.
The new Scouting Director will be Jorge Enriquez, who was most recently employed by the Indianapolis Indians as their chief scout. The Indians did not renew his contract when it expired last October. Enriquez has good contacts in Latin America, where the Colonels focus most of their scouting efforts. Enriquez is 51 years old and has eight years of CBA experience with Seattle and Indianapolis.
