When I play a fictional league, I usually sim out 10-20 years specifically to create some league history. I like to see the records that players are shooting for right away. Plus, it gives me a chance to pick a team that needs a little work to become a contender rather than looking at initial rosters and trying to figure out which teams might be middle of the pack or so.
I wasn't aware of there being a surplus of superstars in the first draft. Is that always the case?
