just an update of newsworthy info

Dave Parker (PITT) has been lost for 3 months
Del Unser (TEX) goes 6-6 against the Royals, a week later was claimed by the Athletics off of waivers
Lou Brock (SL) collects hit # 2000
Frank Tanana (CAL) lost for 2-3 months

Richie Hebner (CIN) off to a .253 6HR 35rbi start, a bit cooler than the last few years

Royals entering a major stretch of games, they will be playing 35 games over the next 34 games leading up to the all Star game
They now set at 30-33 11 games back from the A's
