I have to agree with Disco Dog about giving new gamers a chance to learn the game. In my case I had no idea that I could even go over budget - so I made a blockbuster trade and signed some one year players to large contracts through a misunderstanding of my options.
Also , what about the gamer who looks at his team as a long distance, say fifty to a hundred year empire? No sense in firing him and wrecking his fun.
Though maybe when I'm an old veteran at the game I wouldn't object to a firing option and can understand that wish by some.
Anyway I went back below budget, am on a streak and the owner is ecstatic again.
