Norris stopped mugabi on a classic fight to win WBA JMW crown

On a highly anticipated clash, Terry Norris won the WBA junior middleweight crown from John Mugabi on a real boxing war.
Norris controlled the first minute of the fight and also put Mugabi on trouble with a great uppercut but after that Mugabi started to land his own bombs hurting Norris several times to finally edged the round.
Thirty seconds into the second round a strong right hook by Norris dropped Mugabi for a five count. After Mugabi got up Norris threw everything he had but Mugabi resisted the charge taking a lot of punishment on the way.
On the third round Mugabi looked surprisingly recovered and he won the stanza and also shook Norris with a hard hook.
On the fourth round Mugabi recoverd his confidence and went to the atack hurting Norris a pair of times with his power blows to won the round convincingly, Norris tried to counter and sometimes did it well making this round a beautiful one.
On the fifth round Norris used his speed and feet movement to outbox Mugabi. “The beast” couldn’t land any clean punches this round.
The sixth round was an even one and on the seventh one Norris again was outboxing Mugabi for the first two minutes until Mugabi landed a great right hook and dropped Norris for an eight count. Norris got up and he covered up and ran to finish the round without more trouble.
On the eighth round Mugabi tried to atack to finish the fight but Norris was recovered and hold off Mugabi’s charge to win a beautiful actionfilled round.
On the ninth round Norris statred to land punch after punch without answer by a tired Mugabi and after battering the african for most of the round Norris connected a devastating hook to Mugabi’s chin and put him to sleep for the ten count.
At the time of the stopped the now former champion Mugabi was winning on all three scorecards by 76-75 (x2) and 77-75.
