Game Summary- The Yankees set the tone early in game 2 with a 3 run blast by Alex Rodriguez in the bottom of the first. Jorge Posadas Solo Home run in the fourth, Hideki Matsui’s run scoring double in the fifth and Miguel Cairo’s 2 run triple in the 6th gave John Lieber a big cushion in a game where he dominated the Cubs batters. The Cubs rarely threatened and only were able to score on a fifth inning Jim Edmonds Home run. Now the series switches to Chicago with the Cubs down 0-2.

Game Summary- Game 2 of the series started off with three scoreless innings where the Indians threatened but could get score. The Angels put 3 on the board in the third being led by a 2 run homer by Bengie Molina. Cleveland Came back with 2 runs in the top of the fifth on a Ryan Garko 2 run home run. The Angels came right back again in the bottom of the frame, scoring 4 runs including run scoring doubles by Adam Kennedy and Vlad Guerrero. This gave the Angels a comfortable lead through the rest of the game.

Game Summary- Game 2 looked good again for the Dodgers early as they scored two runs in the first on a Milton Bradley Single. But CC Sabathia recovered from his first inning struggles to pitch a masterful game and the Yankees bats came alive with a vengeance late in the game. The onslaught started in the bottom of the fourth where a Jorge Posada solo blast and Robinson Cano run scoring single tied the score at two. A 2 run homer by Melky Cabrera in the fifth gave the Yankees the lead and they never looked back. A six run 8th which included a Derek Jeter grand slam sealed the game and send the series to LA knotted up at 1 apiece.

Game Summary- Another close game in this Sox-Yankees Series. The Yankees started the scoring in the third when Doug Mientkiewicz scored on a double play ball. The Red sox tied the game on a Garciaparra single in the 5th and took the lead in the 6th when Earl Snyder hit a 2 run single. The Red Sox pen could not hold the lead though as the Yankees took the lead back in the 8th on a 2 run Bobby Abreu single. As usual, Rivera came in the 9th to close out another tight game.
