Think like a real GM.
Are the fans still coming? if so then keep him, you can get used to losing but he's drawing in the fans. Trading him might not get you a championship, dollars now are always better then dollars later.
Plus when you lose him in FA you can blame it on the money and say you tried, the fans will still come.
