On an outstanding performance WBC Super Heavyweight champion Lennox Lewis demolished the overmatched challenger Nicolay Valuev.
Lewis started the fight fast dropping Valuev with a perfect right cross a minute into the fight.
Valuev got up at four looking confused an Lewis punished him until the end of th round.
Lewis won the second round convincingly, on this round Valuev landed his only few clean punches of the fight.
On the third round Lewis pressed the accelerator again and dropped Valuev with a perfect cross to the head. Valuev got up again and managed to survive the rest of the round taking a lot of punishment.
On the fourth round a clean left right combination by Lewis dropped Valuev for the third time on the fight. Valuev got up again but only to be floored one more (and last) time with a combination of blows to the body and the head by Lewis, this time the russian stayed on the canvas for the ten count. At the time of the stoppage the scorecards were 30-24 (x39 for the champion Lewis.
