Well, it's not that simple. What I did was open the html file up in NoteTab Pro, which is like a glorified version of Notepad. That's when I did a search for "market size" and came up with those entries. The problem is, if I edit them in this text editor, how do I get them back into the html file? You need to have an html editor, with which I am not familiar. Also, I am unsure of how the file works and whether editing might beget other changes of an even more horrendous nature. But, if anybody does attempt this, don't forget to delete storylines.dat in your saved game folder.

3) With all the people making roster packs, and logo packs, couldn't people be developing storyline packs to be downloaded?
I would be willing to try a mod that somebody has cleaned up, yes. But as Cras succinctly said, "OOTP: Some assembly required." Meaning, I would rather have the developers clean it up, or have it cleaned up under their supervision. It is what I am paying for, after all.
