I just looked it up. My first live game at the stadium was on 5/17/1986 (I was age 7), one of the most important games ever for us: we had to play relegation against a team from the 2. Bundesliga and up until the 90th minute we were out but a last minute goal gave us the chance to play a 3rd decision game on neutral ground (which we easily won 8-0). So I started my supporter career at the bottom.
Chapsuisat, Möller and Sammer then marked the first great run we had during the nineties with the Championsleague win in 97. Then it became dark again until we finally won the championship back to back last year and this year and additionally the DFB Pokal on Sunday. Happy times at the moment.
In the next few days a guy named Kagawa will join Manchester United, mark my words, he will rock the premier league.
