"10 point system didn't show up in a heavyweight championship fight until the vacant title meeting between Floyd Patterson and Archie Moore in 1956.
However, The United States, much less the world, did not embrace this new concept unanimously and switched between round and point systems into the 1970s.
The last heavyweight championship bout fought on the round system was the rematch between Muhammad Ali and Leon Spinks (despite the first fight being on the 10 point system).
Both bouts occurred in 1978."
