Workaround for Sim Speed Issue
As you may or may not know, there is a memory leak causing long-term sims to bog down after a season. This is fixed for the patch that's being released tomorrow (Wednesday).
Until then, follow these steps to ensure your simming speed doesn't falter.
1) Go to the "Game" button in the menu along the top of the screen.
2) Click on "Preferences", located beneath "Start Screen" in the OOTP menu.
3) In the "Interface" tab (first tab), there is a pull-down menu for "Auto-play display". There are two options: Simple dialog (faster), and Standings/Leaderboards.
4) Click on Simple Dialog.
Done. You won't have any other issues with sim speed going forward.
