Thanks for the notes, Mike. Just one comment about guys who don't appear to be rated: they aren't.
Every year more than 1000 players join MLB organizations, whether from the draft, indie ball, as non-drafted FAs or as international signs. In past years, rating a lot of these guys was such a low priority (compared to rating big leaguers or prospects) that there was never time to finish a lot of them. This year we made an effort to get almost everyone rated, even those guys who will never make it past Rookie ball, but we didn't quite get there. We had a list we were working through, and at last check there were somewhere between 80 and 120 guys left to do, so on average, each team will have 3-4 guys like Thomas De Wolf and Ariel Mercedes, but some teams have a fair few unrated guys, and some teams we completed in their entirety. Only the most ardent fan of minor league baseball will notice --- but that describes us roster editors
so we notice and we want to fix it.
I'm pretty sure we'll get those guys done for the next update (not for the Monday release but for the update after that). For now, we know about them, and will get there, but none of them are guys on the BP top 20 or BA top 30 team prospect lists.
