For me, no ... ERA isn't good enough, 229 wins aren't enough.

On the other hand, in the context of your league, maybe he's good enough. I've noticed OOTP doesn't have a lot of 300-game winners, for instance. In the league I'm currently running, midway through 2025, league began 2003 w/Total Minors, I've got 12 pitchers with more than 229 wins. Of the pitchers with at least 3000 IP, 22 have a better ERA than your guy, 13 are worse, which means he's below average in a group like that. So in my league, he gets points for longevity, but not for much else. Your league might have higher ERAs, though.

On the OTHER hand, his numbers make him Luis Tiant with 55 fewer losses, and that ain't too shabby.
