sorry but i'm not as sentimental. not that i would wish death upon anyone or am celebrating the fact that he died which I'm not, but I'm also not buying into the he was a legend we should remember him fondly etc etc etc. (If I'm the first a-hole that says this than so be it)

The guy was directly or at the very least indirectly responsible for the rape of multiple young boys, whatever legacy he had is ruined. I don't care about the good, I'm not a member of his family, a former player, or a penn stater. At the end of the day I'm a citizen who puts child rape as second most severe crime directly under homicide.

As someone who is involved in collegiate athletics I can assure you there are far more deserving coaches and admins across the country, many that you guys have never heard of, (many at jucos and d2 and d3 schools) that are far more legendary than this guy.

I'm going to remember Paterno for what he was not what I still want him to be.
