First post in two years! The last couple editions didn't really have enough of what I was looking for, so I took a pass on them and just kind of went away. I think I should get back on board for this one.
The interactive storylines sound like they might finally reach their potential in this version; it sounds like fun to watch a "Bronx Zoo"-like era unfold in a particular city, or watch a notoriously temperamental slugger hit the free agency market and see how much of a risk the other teams want to take on him
Since graphical improvements/clean-ups are a big feature of this edition, is there any chance of giving each team "road colors" used when displaying the players' names on the in-game ballpark screen? The single most headache-inducing sight in this game for me is actually this screen, when both teams have identical or near-identical team colors (like, say, Cardinals vs. Reds), especially when the bases are loaded.

1. Be able to trade a player for cash.
2. Independent minors based on actual historical leagues and teams.
3. Realistic scouting and signing from historical time periods.

I'm also heavily into historical play and would like to see inside-the-park home runs modeled accurately for the age of the dead ball and cavernous outfields. I guess that probably would require the park dimensions/fence heights to be more than just cosmetic, a development that would open up a lot of other neat things, but I guess you can't have everything...
