Go into any Apple store and that's the FIRST thing they will have you do if you're having problems.
Any large App I've ever had for an idevice has required reboots after massive app installs and from time to time during regular use.
I have to restart my computer from time to time. I have to restart my iPad from time to time. This isn't a out of the ordinary recommendation.
